Contacts

Use Web App contacts to call, message, create local contacts, or sync contacts from Google or Microsoft.

Contacts in the Web App help you call, message, and manage people you work with. You can create local contacts or sync contacts from Google or Microsoft.

Create a contact

A contact must include at least a first name or last name.

  1. Log in to the Web App.
  2. Go to Menu > Settings > Contacts.
  3. Click Create.
  4. Enter the contact details.
  5. Click the + button to add phone, email, or address fields.
  6. Click Create.

Manage contacts

  • Call a contact: Click the phone button.
  • Send an SMS: Open the chat page and use the SMS button.
  • Edit a contact: Open the contact details, click Edit, make changes, and save.
  • Delete a contact: Open the contact details and select Delete.

Note: You can edit and delete contacts created locally. Synced contacts must be edited in the original Google or Microsoft account.

Sync contacts

  1. Go to Menu > Settings > Contacts.
  2. Click Sync or go to Sidebar > Contacts > Import Contacts.
  3. Choose Google or Microsoft.
  4. Follow the provider prompts to allow access.
  5. Wait for the sync confirmation.
  6. Open Contacts in the sidebar to view synced contacts.

Note: After contacts are synced, the Import Contacts button may disappear. It appears again if you remove the sync connection.

Remove synced contacts

  1. Go to Menu > Settings > Contacts.
  2. Click Remove Account.
  3. Confirm the removal.

Force a contact sync

If a new Google or Microsoft contact does not appear in the Web App, go to Settings > Contacts and click Sync Now.

Why contact sync can fail

  • The provider permission prompt was closed or denied.
  • The contact does not include required name information.
  • The sync dialog identifies contacts that could not be imported.
