Manage App Settings and Features

Manage Web App profile, numbers, audio and video, accounts, language, browser permissions, and personal settings.

This guide walks through the personal settings available in the 2talk Web App, including profile, numbers, audio and video, accounts, language, and browser permissions.

Status

Set your status so teammates know whether you’re available, busy, or away. Click your user icon in the top right and pick a status from the menu.

Profile

Update your personal details so teammates can find and identify you.

  1. Click your user icon in the top right.
  2. Select Settings > Profile.
  3. Update any of: name, number type (Work, Home, or Other), Address Line 1 and 2, City, State, Company, and Position.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Refresh the page to see your changes throughout the app.

Numbers

Activate or deactivate the numbers your account can call from inside the app.

  1. Click your user icon > Settings.
  2. Click Numbers.
  3. Toggle Active on to enable a number for the app, or off to disable it.
  4. Set Do Not Disturb (DND) by clicking the bell icon next to a number.

Audio & Video

Pick and test the microphone, speaker, and camera the app should use.

  1. Click your user icon > Settings.
  2. Click Audio & Video.
  3. Choose your Microphone, Speaker, and Camera from the drop-downs.
  4. Click Test next to the microphone to confirm it’s working.
  5. Click Save.

Accounts

If you belong to more than one 2talk account, you can switch between them without logging out.

  1. Click your user icon.
  2. Select Accounts.
  3. Choose the account you want to switch to.

Language

Change the interface language at any time.

  1. Click your user icon > Language.
  2. Choose English (US), Portuguese, or Spanish.
  3. The interface updates immediately.

Browser permissions

The Web App needs camera, microphone, and notification permissions to make calls and alert you to incoming activity. Grant these in your browser when prompted.

Firefox

Firefox sometimes requires permissions to be set manually. If you weren’t prompted on first use:

  1. Open the Firefox menu and go to Settings.
  2. Select Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll to Permissions.
  4. Configure Camera, Microphone, and Notifications to allow access for the 2talk Web App.
