Provision a Polycom Device

Provision supported Polycom VVX phones so they download 2talk configuration from the provisioning server.

Polycom provisioning lets supported VVX phones download 2talk configuration from the Polycom provisioning server.

Note: Device Provisioning does not support Polycom IP SoundPoint phones running firmware 3.3 or older.

Set the provisioning server on the phone

  1. Press Home on the phone.
  2. Go to Settings > Status > Network > TCP/IP Parameters.
  3. Copy the phone’s IP address.
  4. Enter the IP address in a browser on the same network.
  5. Go to Settings > Provisioning Server.
  6. Set Server Type to HTTPS.
  7. Set Server Address to https://polycom.2talk.com.
  8. Save the settings.

Add the phone in 2talk

  1. Copy the phone’s MAC address.
  2. Log in to your 2talk account.
  3. Go to Tools > Device Provisioning.
  4. Click Add device.
  5. Enter the MAC address.
  6. Select the phone number or line assignments.
  7. Choose TLS or UDP transport.
  8. Click Add.
  9. Restart the phone.
