Call Check

Use Call Check to place an off-net test call and confirm that inbound routing is working for a number.

Call Check places an off-net test call to one of your 2talk numbers from outside our network. Use it to confirm that a number is reachable from the public phone network and that inbound routing is working as expected.

How to use Call Check

  1. Log in to your 2talk account.
  2. Go to Tools > Call Check.
  3. Select the number you want to test, then click Preferences to choose the test type.
  4. Run the test. Call Check reports whether the call connected, the route it used, and any error codes.

What Call Check identifies

The test reports the SIP peering type that handled the call, so you can confirm the path matches your account configuration:

  • Global Peering – the call routed via 2talk’s global SIP peering.
  • Standalone – the number is registered as a standalone SIP endpoint.
  • Trunking – the call delivered to your SIP trunk (typically a PBX).

Tip: if Call Check fails, verify your device is registered (or your IP is whitelisted for peering), then re-run the test.
