Call Pickup

Answer an incoming call ringing on another phone in your group or account by using Call Pickup short codes.

Call Pickup lets you answer an incoming call ringing on another phone in your group or account. Use the short codes from your own phone to pick up the call.

Call Pickup short codes

  • *88: Group pickup. Answers the most recent incoming call ringing in your pickup group.
  • *89: Directed pickup. Prompts you to enter the phone number or extension that is ringing.
  • *89 + number or extension: Directed pickup without the prompt. For example, *89800 tries to pick up a call ringing extension 800.

Call Pickup is enabled by default. You can disable it on a number if users should not be able to pick up calls to or from that number.

Disable Call Pickup

  1. Log in to your 2talk account.
  2. Go to Switchboard.
  3. Select the number you want to configure.
  4. Go to Inbound > Call Pickup.
  5. Select Disable.
  6. Click Save.
