Voicemail Service

Configure voicemail so callers can leave messages when you are unavailable, busy, or do not answer.

Voicemail lets callers leave a message when you are unavailable, busy, or do not answer. You can record custom greetings, access messages by phone or in your account, forward messages, and send voicemail recordings to an email address.

If voicemail transcription is enabled, 2talk can email both the audio recording and a text transcription to the selected email address.

Enable voicemail

  1. Log in to your 2talk account.
  2. Go to Switchboard.
  3. Select the number you want to update.
  4. Go to Inbound > Voicemail Service.
  5. Choose the voicemail settings you want to use.
  6. Click Save.

Record voicemail greetings

You can record separate greetings for unavailable and busy conditions. Enter a callback phone number, answer the call from 2talk, then follow the prompts to record and confirm the greeting.

Upload voicemail greetings

For a professionally recorded greeting, upload an MP3 file for the unavailable or busy greeting.

Keep each voicemail greeting under 400 KB. If the file is too large, reduce the recording bit rate before uploading.
